James Leroy Easley passed from this life on August 14th, 2024, at home surrounded by his son Robert & granddaughter Crystal. He was born September 4, 1939 in Leon, Kansas to parents, Marjorie Leola (Redding) Easley- Allen and Raymond Thomas Easley.
James moved to Los Angeles, California when he was in his early teens, where he met the love of his life, Linda Hayden. They were soon married and ended up moving to Wright City, Oklahoma. James worked for the Weyerhaeuser Company for nearly 30 years. He retired in the mid 2000's. His coworkers, always referred to him as "old man" due to his anti-social lifestyle. He preferred to work & go home, nothing else. James was loved by many and hated by few.
James is preceded in death by his wife, Linda; his mother, Marjorie Allen; three sisters, Dorothy, Wilma, and Evelyn; three brothers- in- law, Jerry Harmon, Bob, and Thomas Barker; one son, John Clifford; one grandchild, Christopher.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Virginia Harmon of Wright City; his sons, Robert & Donald; daughter, Donna Tebe; granddaughter, Crystal Easley of the home; two grandsons, John Easley-Gasaway and James Easley-Tebe; one great-grandson & a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M., Monday, August 19, 2024 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, OK with Aaron Strange officiating.
Funeral Services are set for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, OK. Internment will follow in Slater Memorial Cemetery, Wright City, OK
