James Shearer

James Shearer, 75, of Broken Bow, passed from this life, August 24, 2020, at his home.

James was born on May 4, 1945, in Leflore, Oklahoma.

James loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed working and working hard. James also loved going to the coffee shops every morning.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Myrl Bell Dukes.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Dixie Shearer, of the home; son, Keith Shearer and fiancé, Betty, of Hochatown; brother, Jim Dukes and wife, Sybil, of Leflore, OK; sisters, Brenda Linker and husband, Keith, of Buffalo Valley, OK, Caron Puttman and husband, Phillip, of Muse, OK, Patricia McMahan, of Tecumseh, OK, LaVaughn Blassingame and husband, Jerry, of Buffalo Valley, OK, and Rhonda Johnson, of Buffalo Valley, OK; grandson, Keifer Shearer; as well as, many friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020, at 10:00 AM, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home, with Joe Woody Johnston officiating, burial will follow at the Hochatown Cemetery.
