Janice Elaine Evans, of the Holly Creek Community, passed away March 1, 2021. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was the daughter of Clifton Lewis and Flossie Mae Cochran of Liberty, Kentucky.
Janice was extremely loved. Most people only knew her as “Nanny.” She loved to keep her yard in tip-top shape. She also loved to quilt and made many quilts for her family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Tommy Lee Evans; and her two precious sons, Mark Anthony Evans and Williams Lee (Billy) Evans, both of Holly Creek.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Sue Monk and husband, Thomas, of New Brockton, AL and Lisa Ann Myers and husband, Mark, of Holly Creek; sister, Ima Jean Buck, of Indiana; brothers, George Cochran, Larry Cochran and wife Charlotte, and Don Cochran, all of Kentucky.
Janice is also survived by several grandchildren, Laura Nolan, Cassie Evans, Nikki Smith, Corey Monk, Cathy Kendal, Chayla Evans, Grant Evans and (her sidekick) Emilee Guest; as well as, several great-grands, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, Janice wished for donations to be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
A viewing for family and friends will be Friday, March 5, 2021, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Janice will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home, burial will follow at the Holly Creek Cemetery.
