Jean Teel

Virginia “Jean” Teel, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, passed from life on July 5, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family, she was 81.

Jean was born in Garvin, Oklahoma to Marlin Brown and Dora Lea (Summerland) Brown on June 19, 1940.

She and Charles “Biff” Teel were united in marriage and enjoyed many, many years together.

Jean enjoyed camping, decorating her home for every occasion, Facebook, watching Days of Our Lives and Westerns on T.V., and writing poems. She loved spending time with her family. Jean was a member of the Broken Bow Assembly of God Church and loved her Pastors, Bro. Terry Bradley, Bro. LaRoi Woods, and Bro. Walt Spradling.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Marlin and Dora Lea Brown; brother, Kenneth “Bub” Brown, sister, Marlene Honey; and one grandson, Skylar Briley.

She is survived by her loving husband, Charles “Biff” Teel, of the home; children, Lea Dora Briley of Valliant, OK and Terri Walters and husband Rickey of Hochatown; bonus children, Kim Dickerson and husband Joel of Broken Bow, Mike Beck of Idabel, David Beck of Broken Bow, and Ronnie Beck of Idabel; brother, James “Butch” Brown of Broken Bow; sisters, Margaret Ann Vanderburg of Powderly, TX, and Rena Bell Luper of Wright City; grandchildren, Brandon Bolt and wife Candice of Broken Bow, Kohl, Bella and Alaina Dickerson of Broken Bow, Crystal Ramirez and Issac of San Antonio, TX, Zoey Briley of San Antonio, TX, RayLee Briley of Valliant, Tinker and Tyge Beck of Valliant, Landon Beck of Broken Bow, Tori Howard of Lindsey, OK, and Tamera Stone of Idabel; close great-grandchildren, Chisolm and Clancey Bolt and Amara Ramirez; and many, many sweet greats; caregivers, Julie Capps of Millerton, Shala White of Millerton; Mays Hospice, Katherine Morris and Bridget Bond; as well as numerous other family and friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, July 7, 2021, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 8, 2021, at the Broken Bow First Assembly of God Church, with Bro. LaRoi Woods, Bro. Walt Spradling, and Bro. Terry Bradley officiating. Interment will follow at the Holly Creek Cemetery.
