Jeremy "Bullfrog" McKinney, 48, of Watson, passed away at his home on Friday, June 20, 2025.

He was born to Jerry Wayne and Myra Faye (Winship) McKinney in Talihina,OK on September 9, 1976.

Jeremy was a truck driver, a certified welder, and also worked in HVAC. He was a 1995 graduate of Broken Bow High School, where he enjoyed playing football for the Savages. One of his proudest moments was being a part of the 1994 team that reached the state championship game that year.

He was also a proud Sooner fan, liked to fish, and enjoyed spending time with friends. He was known to most by Bullfrog; it was a nickname he wore with pride. He loved not only his family but also his church family at Nayimmi Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Myra, whom he adored; his beloved sister, Kimberly McKinney; grandparents, Eddie and Nora McKinney and Stella Crosby; and brothers-in-law, Jared Noahubi and Kelly Hicks Sr.

Those Jeremy leaves behind to cherish his memory include his father, Jerry "Fats" McKinney; sisters, Millie Tehauno and husband Rodney of Broken Bow, Kara Hill and husband Matt of Dierks,AR, and Rochelle Hicks of Watson. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend, Melissa Harwood.

A memorial service will be held in Jeremy's honor on June 27, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. at the Choctaw Nation Community Center in Broken Bow. A time to grieve, remember, and celebrate Jeremy's life, it will offer solace to all those touched by his departure. Jeremy's friendly nature, goodwill, and the joy he brought into our lives will be sorely missed but forever remembered.
