Jerrold C Buchanan Obituary

Jerrold Buchanan went to be with his Lord on August 10, 2022 at his home in Broken Bow, OK at the age of 69. He was born October 25, 1952 in Cortez, Colorado to Everett and Beulah Buchanan.


Jerrold was a jack of all trades. He loved construction and remodeling, doing all types of construction both inside and outside electrical, plumbing and landscaping. In his earlier years he was a licensed cosmetology instructor and owned a beauty school in Hugo, OK. He later managed the Tramps Club in the Holiday Inn in Idabel, OK. Jerrold loved to cook and was a master chef. During the winter months he would spend his time quilting, he made many quilts which he found pleasure in doing. His two Schnauzer dogs, Levi and Crystal were his pride and joy. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.


Jerrold is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Beulah “Bucky” Buchanan; brothers, Leonard and Jessie Buchanan; sisters, Margaret Burns, Evelyn Rich, Wanda “Tootsie” Porton and Dora Lee Perkins; and a special niece, Cindy Bullard.


Jerrold is survived by his best friend and partner of 39+ years, George Hobson of the home; sisters, Aline Willis of Oklahoma City, Joy Lokey of Prague, OK and Neva Bruner of Vian, OK; sisters-in-law, Mary Buchanan and Myra Buchanan; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.


Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.


A Celebration of Life Graveside Service is set for 10:00 a.m., Saturday morning at Hochatown Cemetery, Hochatown, OK with Rev. Steve Endsley officiating.
