JoAnn Morris Sisk Scarberry, 73, of Talihina formally of Broken Bow, passed away March 18, 2022 in Talihina, Oklahoma. She was born the daughter of J.C. Morris and Rosie Almida Morris (Wolfe) on December 5, 1948 in Ringold, Oklahoma.
JoAnn greatly enjoyed quilting and sewing along with spending quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. JoAnn and her husband Don pastored for many years at churches including, Glover Assembly, Malvern Assembly, Amity Assembly, and Whiteboro Assembly to name a few. She was also a member of the New Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Talihina, OK. JoAnn and Don were married on November 17 and spent 53 wonderful years together.
JoAnn is preceded in death by first husband, Don Sisk; second husband, L.J. Scarberry; parents, J.C. and Almida Morris (Wolfe); sisters, Lucille Staggs and Peggy Whisenhunt.
JoAnn leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Donna Freeman and husband Marion of Broken Bow, OK, and TaJuana “Tee” Estep and husband Jim of Tulsa, OK; brothers, Sam Morris and wife Jean of Millerton, OK, Buddy Morris and wife Linda of Broken Bow, OK, and Vic Morris of Garvin, OK; sisters, Francis Cunningham and husband Dwayne of Swink, OK, Ethel Rushing and husband Kip; grandchildren, Mike Murray and fiancé Victoria, David Lynn Estep and wife Rachel, Naomi Murray, James Cameron Estep, Kourtney Estep and fiancé Marcus Flaming; great grandchildren, Abigale, Sarai and Elisha Estep; along with many other relatives and friends.
Services will be Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 2 PM at the Pickens Assembly of God, Pickens, OK. Interment will follow at County Line cemetery, Pickens, OK.
The family will receive friends at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Monday, March 21, 2022 from 6PM – 8PM.
