Joan Moniz, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, in Paris, Texas. Born on May 8, 1945, to parents Paul Shipp and Mary Armstrong.
Her love for her horses and dogs was unparalleled, and she found great solace in the company of her cherished animals. Joan's passion for life was evident in the way she cared for her family, creating countless cherished memories during quality time spent with her loved ones.
She is preceded in death by parents, Mary Armstrong and Paul Shipp, loving husbands, Wendall R Rowan and Monte Moniz, precious grandson, Tyler Ray Rowan, and her brother, David Shipp, along with his wife Sharon, and Gaylene Shipp.
Joan leaves to cherish her loving memory son, Mark and his wife Teresa Rowan of Broken Bow, OK; granddaughters, Wendy Rowan of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Amber Gribnitz of Broken Bow, OK; two great-grandchildren, Kazen Mathews and Alyla Gribnitz; niece, Christy Shipp of Myrtle Beach, SC; nephews, Michael Shipp of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kevin Shipp, and Dusty Shipp of Valliant, OK; brothers, Kenny (Turtle) Shipp of Valliant, OK, Ronnie Shipp of Richmond, VA; and brother-in-law, Doug Rowan of Wright City, OK.
Visitation will be held 6-8 P.M., Monday, June 30, 2025, at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel Broken Bow, OK. Graveside Services are set for 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Valliant Cemetery, Valliant, OK.
