John Hoffman, age 89 passed away on December 1, 2023, in Talihina, OK. He was born to Everett and Johnnie Hoffman on October 1, 1934 in Claremore, OK. John was very proud of his Indian heritage and was a citizen of the Cherokee Nation.

John owned several businesses throughout his life mostly involving construction and the rental of equipment. He enjoyed his work, raising cattle, spending time with his family and friends and was well known for his sense of humor. John was of the Baptist faith and was resident of the area since 1975.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Hoffman; parents, Everett and Johnnie Hoffman; brothers, Bill and EL Hoffman; and a sister, Margret Herndon.

John leaves to cherish his memory his son, Johnie Hoffman, Jr of Claremore, OK; daughter, Bobbi Wooden of Owasso, OK; treasured companion, Nowita Martin of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Tyler and Charlotte Hoffman of Owasso, OK; Thomas Hoffman of Tahlequah, OK; Krisi Everetts of Batesville, AR; great-grandchildren, Juniper Hoffman, Violet Hoffman and Bexley Everetts; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023, 2:00 PM at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial to follow at Denison Cemetery in Idabel, OK.
