John Seymour

John Preston Seymour, 89, passed from this life Friday, September 22, 2023. He was born August 8, 1934 in Sherwood, OK to parents, Henry and Elsie (Barrick) Seymour.

His hobbies included camping, deer hunting and gardening. He was a Marathon Runner. John loved his family and spending time with them. He worked many years for Brown and Root. He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Elsie Seymour; wife, Elizabeth Seymour; children, Sherry Bullard and Charles Snead; brothers, Carl Seymour, Gid Seymour and Edward Seymour; sister, Irene Benton.

John is survived by his children, Brad Seymour and Bryan Seymour both of Paris, TX, Jeff John Seymour and Mechille of Ashburn, VA, Teresa Scarberry of Broken Bow, Sara Snead George and Mason of Edmond, OK, Sadie Snead and Suzy Snead both of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Mark Kugle, Kendrick Snead, Jennifer Hammonds and Ty Corley; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Jaydie, Jax, Rylin, Silas, Jolie and Adeline; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home, Broken Bow, OK.

Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Faith Christian Center, 100 Tanglewood St., Broken Bow, OK with Pastor Chuck Darby officiating. Interment to follow at Watson Memorial Cemetery, Broken Bow, OK.
