John Moore passed from this life Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in Dallas, TX. He was born March 8, 1955 in Brawley, CA.

His father worked for the Railroad, the first years of his life he lived in a boxcar and traveled up and down the Railways. He graduated from Newark High School in CA. Later earned his 3rd degree Black Belt and ran his own martial arts school. He had a Repo business for 23 years (boy could he tell some stories). He always wanted to be a Cowboy and with the help of some awesome people that dream came true (you know who you are). After 30 years he and Marilyn reconnected and were married for twenty years and moved to a 360-acre cattle ranch. He opened Holly Creek Automotive in 2008 and operated it until his passing. John loved to hang out at Bob’s Corner Store with all the “old timers”. Most of all he loved God and his Broken Bow First Baptist Church family.

He is preceded in death by, his mother and stepdad, Ed and Tootie Reed; father and stepmom, Donald and Claire Moore.

John leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife, Marilyn of the home; sisters, Susan Beeman, Cathy Smith and husband, Rob, Cheryl Cook and Jim Walker, Charlene Burkhart and husband, Dan; niece, Genny Burris; a host of other family members and a multitude of friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Broken Bow First Baptist Church with Pastor Pete Wilson officiating. Inurnment will be in Holly Creek Cemetery.
