Johnny Lee Wade, Sr., 75, of Broken Bow, passed from this life, Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the Texoma Medical Center, in Denison, TX. He was born to Alexander B. and Nellie (Battiest) Wade, on February 22, 1945, in Broken Bow, OK.
Johnny graduated from Broken Bow High School, moved to Dallas to do Construction, then to New Mexico. He moved back home to Broken Bow in the early 80’s for a job at Tyson’s; he worked there until his retirement in 2007. After his retirement, he was a driver for Choctaw Nation.
Johnny enjoyed fishing, working on lawn mowers and cars, and watching the Dallas Cowboys, OU Sooners, and the Broken Bow Savages. He also enjoyed playing chair volleyball at the senior citizens center. Johnny was a member of the Agape Church in Broken Bow and loved serving the Lord.
Johnny was preceded in death by, his parents; brother, Donald Patrick Wade; and sister, Ruby Wade.
Johnny L. Wade Sr. is survived by his wife, JoAnn Wade of the home; children, Karen and husband Rusty Coffey of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Johnny Jr. and Johanna Wade of Pueblo of Laguna, NM, Jennifer Abeita of Pueblo of Laguna, NM; stepchildren, Greg White, Tracy White, Mellisa Harwood, Billy Harwood, and Tim Harwood; adopted son, Jesus “Corey” Salinas; grandchildren: Kateri and Derrick Kanteena of Rio Rancho, NM, Kiel Marmon, Tyler, Alexis, and Joshua Wade of Pueblo of Laguna, NM. Gerald Abeita and Wade Crosby of Albuquerque, NM, Kelli Crosby of Mead, OK. Samantha Wade of Grants, NM, Kalene and Andre Thompson of Pueblo of Laguna, NM; great grandchildren: Darius Smith, Jacoby Tso, Nyjah and Isiah Marmon, Amara Scott, Cameron and Adriel Scott, Khloe Garcia, Samuel and Annabelle Garcia; brothers, Richard Wade of Broken Bow, Roland Wade and wife, Rosalie of Calera, OK; sisters, Linda Wade of Broken Bow, Betty Richards and husband, John of Broken Bow, Edwina Martinez and husband, Mario of Oakland, CA, Thelma Wade of Martinez, CA; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Graveside Services will be held, at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 13, 2020, at the McGhee Chapel Cemetery, in Broken Bow.
