Joseph James

Joseph James passed from this life November 23, 2020 at his home in Broken Bow, OK at the age of 76. He was born March 1, 1944 in Broken Bow, OK to parents, Frank and Flora Mae (Tonihka) James.

He proudly served his country in the US Army and always worked very hard to provide for his family. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, watching football, going to the casino and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank James, mother, Flora Mae (Tonihka) James;  wife, Shirley James; brothers, Herbert James, George Wilson and June Wilson; sisters, Lara James, Martha Jones and Delores Battiest.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memory his children, Annette Wilson and husband, Ron of Oklahoma City, OK, Clint James of Durant, OK , Angie James and Ryan Ward, Cheryl Wright and husband Cody all of Broken Bow, OK; eight grandchildren, Andrea James, Dickie Bond, Jr., Tristan Meier, Alyssa James, Marcos Noah Jr., Philip Noah, Arionna Hudson and Brinton Hudson; two great-grandchildren, Erin Noah and Alex James; one great-great-granddaughter, Haven Luster; one brother, Virgil James;  a host of loving nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home, Broken Bow, OK.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 27, 2020 at Kulli-Chito Cemetery, Broken Bow, OK with Rev. Edgel Samuel and Bro. Andy Ward officiating.

The graveside service will be live streamed on Facebook.
