Juanita M. Stockton passed from this life on November 17, 2022 in Idabel, at the age of 95.
She was born on September 22, 1927 in Antlers, OK to father Jeff Easley and mother, Robbie (Newton) Easley.
She was the youngest of three children sister, Nowana, and brother Carl.
When Juanita was six months old her mother passed away and she went to live with Bill and Mini Brewer until she married Tommy Stockton after graduating from Antlers high school in 1945.
She had been a Christian since she was eight years old and loved going to many different church services where her dad was a gospel singer.
The Brewers were good to her, and she loved them very much.
Juanita loved being a schoolteacher for many years and also writing stories for the local newspaper.
After retiring she volunteered at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in the gift shop.
She personally knew many of the old country and western singers and song writers from the forties through the eighties.
She traveled to many foreign countries and all of the United States.
There was one country she never got to visit, GREECE!
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents and both siblings.
She had some very good neighbors that were always there for her, The Johnson’s, Kisha and her kids, and very close friends and neighbor’s Steve and Mandy.
