                                                        Judy Lavern (Mullens) Brooks

Born August 3, 1952 to Billie Jean and Jake Mullens passed away at home in Oak Hill on June, 27, 2023.

Judy and Clarence Brooks were united in marriage May 19, 1981 in Paris, TX and shared thirty-eight years together.

Judy was always a hard worker, starting at a very young age. She was among the best in her bowling league, she enjoyed cooking and sharing her recipes, one of her favorite past times was reading, especially her Bible. She loved her grandkids. Judy was saved and baptized in Holly Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Brooks; her mother, Billie Jean Mullens Bowles, step father, Glen Bowles, father, Jake Mullens; brother, Carroll Mullens; grandparents, Fred and Tiny Trent.

Judy is survived by her children, Richard Lewis and wife, Laura of Idabel, OK, Eric Lewis and wife Misti of Hochatown, OK, Stacey Brooks and wife, Kelly of Broken Bow, OK, Tony McDonald and wife, Donna of Whitewright, TX; brothers and sisters, Johnny Mullens of Huttig, AR, Theo Mullens and wife, Kathy of Kingfisher, OK, Larry Mullens and wife, Robbie of Idabel, OK, Donna Durham and husband, Mike of Broken Bow, OK, Billie Jo Beason and husband, Randy of Pollard, OK, Robert Mullens and wife, Vickie of Garvin, OK, Jimmy Mullens and wife, Teresa of Ringold, OK, Betty Shearer and husband, Keith of Hochatown, OK, Tommy Mullens and wife, Susie of Holly Creek, OK; sister-in-law, Anita Mullens of Broken Bow, OK; Sue Ballew and husband, Ardy of Durant, OK, Ronnie Mullens of Ashdown, AR, James Theo Mullens of Durant, OK; grandchildren, McHaley Lewis, Jordyn Lewis, Ledger Brooks, Lyndsey Hastings, Garrett McDonald, Cameron McDonald, Zane McDonald; great-grandchildren, Bayler Brooks and Breelynn Brooks; nieces and nephews, John, Jeannie, Keith, Kara, Lea, Amanda, Windi, Kelly, Randi Lynn, Jimmy Wayne, Cassie, Tessa, Jake, Kyle, Nikki, Keifer, Chock and Billy Jack. So many wonderful friends, too numerous to mention.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday evening, June 29, 2023 at Bunch-Singelton Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services are set for 10:00 a.m, Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK with Bro. Mike Durham officating. Interment to follow at Watson Memorial Cemetery.
