Julia May Wright (Mamaw) passed from this life Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in Idabel, OK at the age of 76. She was born May 5, 1946 in Durant, OK to parents, James B and Edwina (Valencia) Craddock.
During Julia’s early adult life while living in Altus, OK she worked several years for American Van Lines, as a professional packer, after moving back to Bryan County, she begin working for Martha’s Miniatures sewing beautiful, elegant children’s dresses, after she moved to McCurtain county she worked at Tyson Foods, (where she was known as Aunt Bea), until she retired in 2008.
Julia loved her church and church family. She was blessed with many good friends. She loved attending fellowships, potluck dinners, baking cookies, brownies, sewing and crocheting scratchers. She cherished spending time with her family, friends and her Alpaca Ranch family and friends. Everyone loved her laughter and wondered what she would say next to make them laugh. She never met a stranger and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jay Mason.
Julia is survived by her daughter, Tonia Carter and husband, Rod of Broken Bow, OK; grandchildren, Preston Doughty and Savannah of Stuart, OK; great-grandchildren, Leonidas Doughty and Zoey Doughty, extended family Warren Wright and wife Sarah of Conroe, Tx, Joshua Wright and wife Danielle of Wilson, OK and a multitude of friends.
