Obituary

Karen Darlene Sisk, of Broken Bow went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 15, 2023. She was born November 9, 1938, at Wichita, KS, the son of Earl and Dorothy (Terry) Lafferty.

Charles Sisk and Karen (Lafferty) Paul were united in marriage on June 15, 1968, in Heavener, OK.

She was a loving wife and devoted mother. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She worked thirteen years in the Lukfata Elementary cafeteria. She enjoyed being a cook at Lukfata’s Church Camp at Robbers Cave State Park. She loved sewing and making quilts for others. She was an active long-time member of the Lukfata Baptist Church and had lived in this area since 1969 coming from Mena, AR. She and Charles sold their home in Broken Bow after their retirement and spent thirteen years traveling the country as full-time RVers and living life to the fullest until Charles’ passing.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Rocky and Paula Paul and Kurtis Paul both of Broken Bow; Todd Sisk and Jamey Phommavong of Idabel; daughters, Becky and Earl Braddy of Broken Bow and Lori and Kenneth Pratt of Idabel; step-daughter, Theresa and Todd Cocking of Everett, WA; one brother, Larry and Grace Lafferty of Foristell, MO; one sister, Jan Faber of Cambridge, KS; twelve grandchildren, Alyssa (Cocking) Austin, Phillip Braddy, Chris Cocking, Leann (Braddy) Bailey, Kiona (Sisk) Duary, Sarah (Paul) Jewell, Jason Paul, Chris Paul, Jeffrey Paul, Charles Paul, Staff Sgt. Kolton Pratt, and Jordan Sisk; thirty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband; parents; stepfather, Joe Hill; son, Terry Don Sisk; stepson, Mike Sisk; brother, Berry and Helen Lafferty; sister, Deanna and Bob Renyer; brother-in-law, Bob Faber; and first husband, Phillip Paul.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services are set for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chip Pinkerton officiating. Interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Broken Bow.
