Kathy L (Brantley) Richards

Kathy (Brantley) Richards passed from this life on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at the age of 71. She was born Monday, March 19, 1951, in Broken Bow, OK, the daughter of Bobby and Lucille (Proctor) Brantley. 

Kathy and Sammy Richards were united in marriage on July 16, 1969 and shared fifty-three years together. 

Kathy was a member of Pine Top Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, roses,  chickens and looking through recipe books. Kathy was well known for her home cooked meals. She loved spending time with her family. Kathy will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. 

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Ricky, and Robert Brantley. 

Kathy leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Sammy Richards of the home; parents, Bobby and Lucille Brantley; daughters, April Hurst and Jeff, Nancy Motley and Brandon and Samantha Richards all of Broken Bow; brothers, Kelly Brantley and Samantha of Broken Bow and Carl Brantley & Cathy of Eagletown; sisters, Debbie Toon and Ladale of Smithville, Denise Chappell and Ricky of Ringold, Gail Shrouder and Roger of Broken Bow, Bonnie Bean and Joe of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Emily and Collier Robertson of Stillwater, Hannah Hurst, Sam Hurst, Rachel Hurst, Chloe Hurst, Cooper Smith and Taylor Richards all of Broken Bow; brothers-in-law, Lemuel and Jimmie Gail Richards of Broken Bow, David and Shirley Richards of Idaho; sisters-in-law, Judy and Alton Peevy of Broken Bow, Lisa and Russ Rollings of Idabel; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home. 

Graveside Services are set for 10:00 a.m., Saturday morning at Pine Top Cemetery, Broken Bow, OK with Bro. Joe Looney and Bro. Collier Robertson officiating.
