Keith Sanders

Keith Sanders, 50, of Broken Bow, passed away on October 30, 2020 in Oklahoma, City, OK.

The son of Noel Douglas and Wanda Lou (Anna) Sanders, Keith was born on September 9, 1970 in Talihina, OK. He was a 1988 graduate of Broken Bow High School. After graduating he attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in 1993. In January of 1994, Keith began his twenty-six-year career with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services in Idabel, OK. Two years later, he decided to become a reserve officer with the Broken Bow Police Department and has served this community since 1996. During his time of duty, Keith has received the Life Saving Award and the Chiefs Commendation Award. On May 10, 2015, Keith and Sarah Cupit were united in marriage. He was a very loving husband, father, son, brother, and he relished over his children. It was the time he shared and the memories he created with his family that will be cherished. Keith also had a great sense of humor and enjoyed traveling to Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Sanders and one brother, Noah Sanders.

Keith leaves to continue his legacy, Sarah, his wife; three children, Justin Sanders of Idabel, Taylor Sanders of Broken Bow, Zayden Sanders of Broken Bow; his father, Noel, of Broken Bow; father and mother-in-law, Randy and Barbara Cupit of Broken Bow; siblings, Kevin Sanders and his wife, Cathy, of Winthrop, AR, Kirk Sanders of McAlester, OK, Kellam Sanders and his wife, Falon, of Wright City, Brian Jenkins of Foreman, AR, Wendy Grimett and her husband, Vince, of Buckner, AR; brother-in-law, Braley Cupit of Broken Bow; nieces and nephews, Samantha, Jake, Kylie, Kaylie, Kandie, Stormy, Kaylin, Ethan, Bradley, Kyler and Payton; numerous other family members and his OKDHS and Law Enforcement families.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.

Funeral services to honor the life of Keith will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Victory Life Church in Broken Bow. Interment will follow in Watson Memorial Cemetery in the Oak Hill Community.

Those in attendance are encouraged by the family of Keith to wear protective mask.
