Born on July 8, 2006, in Oklahoma City, OK, Korey’s infectious smile, boundless kindness, and vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His light brought warmth to every room, and his absence leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
Korey, a cherished senior at Broken Bow High School, was eagerly awaiting his graduation with the class of 2025. Filled with excitement for the future, he had planned to move to Houston, TX, after graduation to start a new job, he had already secured a significant step toward his dream of becoming a diesel mechanic. His passion for cars and determination to achieve his goals inspired those around him, reflecting his unwavering drive and ambition. A devoted member of First Assembly of God in Broken Bow, OK, Korey lived his faith through acts of love and service. His selfless decision to join the United States Army reflected his deep commitment to protecting others and serving his country—a calling that inspired his peers and filled his family with pride. His courage and leadership made him a beacon of hope and a role model to all who knew him.
Korey’s zest for life was as vibrant as his personality. He found joy in the thrill of riding four-wheelers, the focus of shooting at the range, and the peace of fishing by the water’s edge. A passionate gamer, he spent countless hours playing Call of Duty, sharing laughter and camaraderie with friends in every victory and defeat. Korey’s love for cars was undeniable, often seen tinkering with his own or proudly revving the engine for all to hear. His legendary sweet tooth brought smiles, as he savored Honey Buns and Oatmeal Cream Pies with childlike delight. Above all, Korey lived with an open heart, embracing each moment with humor, warmth, and an uncanny ability to make everyone feel like family. His laughter was a melody that echoed through the lives he touched, and its silence now leaves a profound ache.
Korey was enveloped in the love of a devoted family who cherished every moment with him. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather “Pawpaw” Willie Stewart, maternal grandmother Annette Jack, paternal grandmothers Excie Jackson and Mimi Kathy, aunt Carla McGee, and cousin Chloe Fry. Though they welcomed him into eternity, those left behind mourn the loss of his earthly presence.
Korey’s legacy of love, laughter, and kindness lives on through his adoring grandmother, Lorraine Stewart, who held him close in their shared home; his siblings Lauren and Adrian Nnokam, also of the home; Avery Veight of Sand Springs, OK; Drake Rasha of Antlers, OK; Dreka Rasha of Smithville, OK; Daylon McGee of Broken Bow, OK; and Abby Clark of Houston, TX. His godparents, Alecia Huskins of Broken Bow, OK, and James and Jenny Clark of Houston, TX, will forever treasure their sacred bond with him. Korey’s heart was also held by his beloved girlfriend, Cheyenne Moore, whose love brought him joy. His cherished friends—Rocky Baker, Tyrin Tinajero, Victor Silva, Jose Regino, and so many others—will carry memories of his loyalty and laughter forever. A wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends grieve the loss of a young man who was a brother, a confidant, and a light to all.
Korey’s life was a gift, and though his time with us was far too brief, the love he shared and the dreams he chased will endure forever. His family and community invite all who knew him to join in celebrating his beautiful life. Visitation will be held from 8-10 P.M., Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.
Funeral Services to honor Korey’s remarkable life are set for 2 P.M., Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Broken Bow High School Auditorium, Broken Bow, OK, followed by interment at Broken Bow Cemetery. As we gather to say goodbye, we hold tight to the memories of a young man whose love, laughter, and boundless aspirations will forever echo in our hearts.
