Lailik Loran, age 78, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed from this life April 29, 2021, in Idabel, Oklahoma.
He was born December 23, 1942, to Keineb and Rosa Loran in Mili, Marshal Island.
Lailik Loran was a husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to many people in our Marshallese Community. Lailik Loran was born and raised at Mili, Marshall Island, his home sweet home. He was married to Emile Flameing Loran who had recently passed away on July 15, 2020. They had 10 children altogether, 5 girls and 5 boys. Their names are Hermine Rafael, Veina Loran, Jivel Loran, Hannah Jacob, Shylina Loran, Moutak Keineb, Carlton Loran, Jiran Loran, Bob Loran, Rosenblatt Loran. He moved to the United States in 2009 and lived in Springdale, Arkansas. He came to America to provide a better life for him, his beloved wife, and their children to seek better education for his grandkids. Then they moved to Broken Bow, Oklahoma in 2010 and he lived there with his 2 sons, Moutak Keineb, and Rosenblatt Loran. When he moved to Broken Bow, he worked for Tyson Food Inc. Later, one of his sons, Rosenblatt, moved back to Springdale, Arkansas and Lailik would live with him. Lailik Loran loved to come down to Broken Bow to visit his children and grandchildren. Lailik was a man of God, a deacon, who would go to church with his daughter, Hannah Jacob, along with her kids. Church is where he would talk to his friends, tell stories, and just have fun with the people he loved. He will always be remembered, Late Deacon Lailik Loran. Lailik loves to fish, but most of all, he loved his families. He loves them so much, he’d do anything in his power to support his families. Everyday, he would have a smile on his face everywhere he went to enlighten people. Sometimes, he would have candy in the pocket of his jacket and hand them out to his grandkids, they loved him so much. He loved to eat seafood and ice cream. His favorite drinks were sweet tea, sprite, coconut juice, and root beer. If his kids were to go out for a drive, he’d say, “Hey, I’m coming with you. Take me with you.” All these memories and what you’ve done for us will be remembered. You will be very missed, but we know that you are in a better place and reunited with your beloved one in heaven. This is not a goodbye, but this is a see you later, and we will reunite one day. We love you, baba/jimma Lailik Loran.
