Larry Gene Breece of Mansfield, LA, formerly of Broken Bow, OK, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, at the age of 71. He was born on October 24, 1953, in DeQueen, AR to parents, Sidney and Johnnie (Baxter) Breece. Larry grew up on Carter Mountain, where he loved to explore the woods around the forestry lookout tower.
Larry spent most of his adult life working at the papermill in Mansfield, La, where his passion was being a shift electrician. He never wanted the “day” shift because he said it was boring! He was an avid reader, reading anything from War History, Vietnam, Westerns or Stephen King.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Sidney Breece; brother, David Breece and brother in-law, John Johnson.
Larry is survived by his brother, Martin Breece and his sister, Wanda (Faye) Johnson, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and special great nephew, Aiden Johnson, where the two had developed a close bond over the last several years.
Larry requested that there not be a funeral service, but for his family and friends to celebrate his life in their own way. I for one, toast you, Larry. We all love you and will miss you until we meet again.
