Leonard Wayne James

Leonard Wayne James passed from this life Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the age of 68. He was born October 3, 1954 in Broken Bow, OK the son of Lester Leonard and Ruby (Garland) James.

Leonard was of the Christian faith. His hobbies included grilling, hunting, fishing, playing football and basketball with his children in younger days and driving the dirt roads. He enjoyed working in the woods and spending time with his family and sharing special occasions with them. At the end of the day he enjoyed watching The Wheel Of Fortune. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ann James; parents, Lester and Ruby James; brothers, Hershel James and wife, Bell and Lonnie James and wife, Darlene; sister, Mary Wilson; great niece, RayLee Darlene Gail James and cousin, Suzie Free.

Leonard leaves to cherish his memory son, Paul Wayne James; daughters+, Elizabeth James and Jennifer James all of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Neakita Leflore, Ada Bradford, Tyler Hill, Brauna James, Darius Baird, Gage James, Kody Long, Dylan Long; nephews, Odell James (Haley); nieces, Ladonna Rankins and Danell Johnson (Tim); great nieces, Angel, Sarah, Tanya, Chysum and KynLee; great nephew, Jamie; childhood friend, Jimmy Jeter; friends, T.C., Clayton, Bug, Chief, Bradey, Rick and Thomas;  other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Victory Life Church with Pastor Jimmy Jeter officiating.
