Lillian Gibson Obituary

Lillian Gibson, 99, completed her earthly journey on December 9, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was one of seven children born to Earnest and Bessie (Summerhill) Harcrow on October 17, 1924 in Glover, Oklahoma.

Lillian lived her entire life to serve the Lord. She loved everyone that she ever met as if they were family. She started every day reading the bible and praising the Lord.  Anyone that was acquainted with her knew she was a prayer warrior. She loved cooking and having family dinners on Sunday. She was well known for her fried pies. She loved gardening and had a garden until the age of 97. She was known as Mawmaw to almost everyone and she was loved so much and will be greatly missed.

Mawmaw we love you and thank you for your love and teaching us about God.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Bessie Harcrow; her husband, William Gibson; son, Hodge Gibson and infant daughter, Debra Gibson; brothers, James, Joe, Robert and Dale Harcrow; sisters, Dora Harcrow and Ernestine Morgan.

Lillian leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Kay German and Judy Corbin of Luther, OK; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Donna Gibson of Gotebo, OK; grandchildren, Shawn and Stacy Gibson of Broken Bow, Tracy and Duane Coy of Jones, OK, Bryan and Christy Gibson of Broken Bow, Kayla Gibson of Gotebo, OK, Heather and McRae Brunker of Cordell, OK, Jamie and Jim Dowdy of Gotebo, OK, Johnie Gibson of Broken Bow, Robin and Lonnie Guston of Prattsville, AR, Kelly and Tony Blackburn of Amarillo, TX.: great-grandchildren, Chris and Charity Gibson, Aaron and Callie Gibson, Lindsay and Austin Leister, Jesse and Rachel Coy, Chance and Sierra Coy, Colton Gibson, Kelsey and Eric Seckman, Blane Hastie, McKinlee Brunker, Mylee Brunker, Ashley Graham, Nicole Nault and Dustin Boydston; great-great-grandchildren, Rylee, Pressley, Hayzlei, Chloe, Chandler, Camdon, Crew, Cheyann, Jordin, Austin, Kaydence, Tynlea, Jackson, Lincoln, Caid and Castynn; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.

Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at First Assembly of God Church in Broken Bow, OK with Bro. Jimmy Westbrook and Bro. Melvin Gibson officiating. Interment to follow at Glover Cemetery, Glover, OK.
