Lorenzo King, 59, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, Oklahoma surrounded by family. Lorenzo was born on April 13, 1959, to the late Willie Lee King, Sr. and Betty Johnson King in Detroit, Michigan. Lorenzo was an employee of Tyson Foods. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Broken Bow, Oklahoma where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, Usher Board member, and a member of the Brotherhood Choir under the leadership of Rev. Crawford. He was very active in his son’s life when it came to sports. Lorenzo loved his family and his Lord and will be missed by everyone that knew him.
Lorenzo was preceded in death by his parents; Willie Lee King, Sr. and Betty King, aunts; Rita Young and Patricia Rutherford, and brothers; Wilburt King and Elbert Lee King.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 35 years; Diane King of the home, children; Gregory King and wife, Tanieca, and Mary Cheyanne King both of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, brothers; Dewayne King and wife, Cynthia of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Hamp Johnson of Detroit, Michigan, Cornell King of Detroit, Michigan, Willie King, Jr. and wife, Denise of Florida, and Larry King and wife, Crystal of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, sister; Esta Woods of Detroit Michigan, aunts; Barbara Reed of Detroit, Michigan, Beverly and Sharon Rutherford of Tulsa, Oklahoma, uncle; Willis Rutherford, a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2018, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Broken Bow, Oklahoma at 1:00 Pm with Rev. Larry Rutherford officiating.
