Loretta Kaye Battiest of Broken Bow, OK passed away on July 7, 2026, in McKinney, TX, at the age of 71. She was born on October 31, 1954, in Talihina, Oklahoma, to Hampton and Francis Williams.

Loretta lived a life marked by devotion to her family. A Christian woman of quiet strength and enduring grace, Loretta was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Wright City, OK. She and her husband, Ivan Battiest, shared 51 years together, building a home rooted in love and family. Loretta enjoyed going to the Choctaw Senior Citizens Center and serving her church family. She had a special passion for cooking at campmeeting and for the ministers.

She devoted much of her life to caring for others. She worked as a CNA and CMA at Memorial Heights Nursing Home in Idabel, OK. where her compassion and dependable spirit touched the lives of many residents, coworkers, and families. Family was the center of Loretta’s world, and she treasured every moment spent with those she loved. She found joy in caring for her family, watching her grandchildren play ball, and traveling when she had the opportunity. She also took pride in making traditional Choctaw Indian shawls, a craft that reflected both her heritage and her appreciation for the beauty of tradition.

Loretta was preceded in death by parents, Hampton and Francis Williams; children, Deidra Battiest and Matthew Battiest; brothers, Donelle Williams, Sonny Williams, and Marcus Williams; and sisters, Viola Battiest, B.J. Holt, and Lucille Williams.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ivan Battiest; children, Tonya Dillard, Michael Battiest, and Ivanna Battiest; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Timmy Williams; sisters, Rose Shemwell, Rita Anna, and Lydia McClure; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held 6-8 PM, Sunday, July 12, 2026, Bunch – Singleton Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services are set for 2 PM, Monday, July 13, 2026, Bunch – Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wayne Anna officiating.

Burial to follow at Canfield Cemetery.
