Lori Williams, a cherished soul, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on April 29, 1969, in DeQueen, Arkansas to Gary Nix and Norma Nix

She is survived by parents, Gary and Betty Nix of Tishomingo, OK and Norma Nix of Broken Bow, OK; Lori's legacy continues through her devoted children, David and Melanie Melson of Texarkana, TX; grandchildren, Zachary and Ethan Melson, who will miss her dearly, brother, Terry Nix of Broken Bow, OK; sister, Chrystal Jennings and her husband Billy of Broken Bow, OK.

Lori's professional life as a teacher's assistant was marked by her passion for nurturing young minds. Her patience and warmth made her a favorite among students and colleagues alike. She took immense pride in her role, often going above and beyond to ensure that each child felt valued and understood.

Outside of her work, Lori was an embodiment of joy and adventure. Her love for her grandchildren and children was the centerpiece of her world. Lori's laughter was a familiar sound during the many card games she enjoyed with family and friends. She lived for the moments spent by the lake, where hunting, fishing, and the tranquility of nature brought her peace.

Thanksgiving was a particularly special time for Lori, as it combined her love for family with her enthusiasm for camping. These annual camping trips became cherished traditions, filled with stories and laughter that will echo through the lives of her loved ones for years to come.

Visitation will be held 9-10 A.M., Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Broken Bow, OK.

Funeral Services are set for 10:00 A.M, Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Broken Bow, OK.

Burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Broken Bow, OK
