Lynda Beth Jessie Obituary
Lynda Beth Jessie passed away on July 3, 2026, in Paris, Texas, at the age of 60. She was born on February 5, 1966, in DeQueen, Arkansas to Lyman and Ruby Choate.
Lynda Beth was a Christian and a member of St. Matthew Presbyterian Church for thirty-five years. She was known as a loving and kind woman who made others feel welcomed, cared for, and valued. She especially cherished her role as a wife, mother, and Nana.
Lynda Beth was married her husband, Jimmie, for 41 years, and together they built a life centered on love. She was a great wife and Nana, and she took great joy in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She loved watching her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. Her family was the heart of her world, and she found happiness in the simple, meaningful moments they shared together.
She was an accomplished quilter and loved reading, gardening, cooking, and football, especially the Broken Bow Savages and Oklahoma Sooners. Lynda Beth loved to watch the New York Yankees Baseball and Oklahoma Sooners Softball. She found contentment in caring for her home and in creating beautiful things with her hands. Whether she was tending to a garden, preparing a meal, or spending time with her loved ones, she did so with patience, care, and a generous spirit. Her interests reflected the warmth and creativity that defined her life.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Annette (Jones) Choate; best friends, Melinda Hobbs and Penny Cooper; brothers-in-law, Fred Sapulpa and Randall Hicks; sister-in-law, Juanita Calvillo.
Lynda is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jimmie Jessie; father, Lyman Choate; children, Cari and Wesley Knight, and Courtney Jessie; brothers, Randall and Linda Choate; Russell and Annette Choate; sisters, Lymona Sapulpa and Lydia Gayle Reagan; sisters-in-law, Debra Noah, Audrey Gonzalez, and Janet Hicks; and her grandchildren, Cameron Knight, Easton Wilson, Cailyn Knight, Landrie Wilson, and Lawson Jessie.
