Margaret Evelyn Bray, 90, of Broken Bow, entered her heavenly home, September 17, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret was born, July 19, 1930, to Dalton Hughes and Ivan Gene (Sells) Hughes, in Granite, OK.
She was united in marriage, October of 1947, in DeQueen, AR, to Bob Bray, they were together 59 years before his passing.
Margaret worked for Lukfata School for 52 years, retiring in 2005 as the Cafeteria Manager. She was of the Baptist faith. Margaret enjoyed cooking, fishing, and taking care of her family. She believed in having a good work ethic. She loved spending time with her family and going on road trips with them. She was known as the “Pie Lady” at the local auctions.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Bray; her parents, Dalton and Ivan (Sells) Hughes; son, Charley Bray; mother and father in-law, George and Mae Bray; and one great granddaughter, Lila Mitchell.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Pat Mitchell and husband, E.L., of Broken Bow, Terry Glasson and husband, Cletis, of Valliant, Mike Bray and wife, Brenda, Teresa Wilkie and husband, Don, Les Bray and wife, Brenda, Rickey Bray and wife, Pam, and Kim Harris and husband, Dean, all of Broken Bow; daughter-in-law, Martha Bray, of Broken Bow; sisters, Shirley Dale and husband, Arnold, of Mesa, AZ, and Joyce Ligen, of Roseburg, OR; brother, Archie Hughes and wife, Donna, of Farmington, NM; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Bray, of Checotah, OK and Betty Lucas, of Broken Bow; special caregiver, Stacey Gregory; 20 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as, many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
An evening of visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, September 19, 2020, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home – Chapel.
Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at the Lukfata Baptist Church, in Broken Bow, OK, with Bro. Steven Harris officiating, burial will follow at the Holly Creek Cemetery.
