Martha May Owens

Martha May Owens a long-time resident of Wichita, KS went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday the 10th day of September 2019 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born August 16, 1952 in Eagletown, Oklahoma, the daughter of Earnest “Simon” and Mable (Wimbley) Owens.

Martha grew up in Eagletown, after graduating Eagletown High School she moved to Wichita, KS where she resided until her passing. Martha had a funny personality and loved by all.  Her passion was cooking and spending time with her family.

Martha leaves to cherish her memory, her children Shauntella Owens (Keith Warren), Sherika McClennon & Da'Onna Owens; brother, Jimmy Owens; sisters, Mildred Cherry & Barbara Owens and Parthenia Dillahunty; ten grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends; special friend, Alice Love; a very special friend of many years, Adrian Harper

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Mable Owens; son, Earnest Owens; brothers, Clyde Owens, Tommy Owens and Earnest L. Owens; sisters, Shirley Owens, Etta M. Mathenia and Elesta F. Owens.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Busy Bee Cemetery, Eagletown, OK with Rev. Robert Bullock officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 P.M., Friday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home, Broken Bow, OK.
