Mary Jean Pipping, 74, of Fort Towson, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, at her home while surrounded by family. Mary was born on July 13, 1943, in Battiest, Oklahoma to the late Isene Noah. Mary was a graduate of Chilocco Indian School, Class of 1964, where she trained as a nanny. After graduation she moved to Washington D. C. where she worked in a coat factory and in a real estate office as an office clerk. It was in Washington D. C. that she met and married Claude, they moved back to Oklahoma in the early 1970s. Mary worked at Tyson’s Foods for over 13 years. Mary came to know Christ as her Savior while attending Bethel Hill United Methodist Church in Battiest, Oklahoma, and was a member there for many years. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband; Fredrick Pipping, mother; Isene Noah, daughter; Melissa Davidson, brothers; Jerry Noah, and Glen Noah, sister; Gladys Standridge, sister-in-law; Linda Noah, and daughter-in-law; and Claudia Davidson.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children; Edward James Davidson of Battiest, Oklahoma, Deborah Davidson of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Charles Davidson of Sobel, Oklahoma, Aubrey Davidson and wife, Jennifer of Rattan, Oklahoma, and Claude Davidson of New York, brother; Orval Noah of Hugo, Oklahoma, daughter-in-law; Leta Davidson, 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends. The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to Mary Billie for all of her support, prayers, visits, and kind words during this difficult time.
A wake service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 2:00 PM at the Choctaw Academy Church in Rufe, Oklahoma with Bro. Jesse Luper, Bro. Tommy Wesley, and Bro. Richard Ferguson officiating.
Interment will follow at the Choctaw Academy Church Cemetery.
