Melba Louise Scott, 88, of Broken Bow passed from this life Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 11, 1933 in Pollard, OK to parents, Howard and Alene (Young) Stout.
Louise was a seamstress and enjoyed gardening, fishing and cooking. She loved spending time with her family and always prepared dinner every Saturday for everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Howard and Alene Stout; husband, Joseph Paul Scott, Sr.; sons, Roy Scott and Jerry Scott; sister-in-law Loraine Turner, Flora Bell Donaldson, Ellen Pettigrue; brothers- in- law W.D. Scott Jr. and Atwell Scott; sons-in-law, Steve Maberry and Charly Bray; brother, Raymond Stout; grandchildren, David Richbourg, Perry Scott, Lupita Scott and Jason Stofregen; great-grandson, Case Bray; great-great grandson, Cade Richbourg; brothers-in-law, Big Boy Warren and Son Smith; sisters-in-law, Robin Stout, Jeannie Stout and Pat Stout.
Louise is survived by her children, Paul Scott and wife, Patsy, Doris Richbourg and husband, Larry, and Martha Bray all of Broken Bow, Billy Scott and wife, Patricia Scott of Ft. Worth, TX, Linda Maberry of Kaufman, TX, Larry Scott and wife, Melissa of Broken Bow; brothers, Harold Stout of Idabel, Gerald Stout of Tyler, TX, Mike Stout of Texarkana, TX, Jim Stout and wife, Carol of Benton, AR and Mark Stout of Idabel; sisters, Doris Jean Warren of Eufaula, OK, Polly Gifford and husband, Terry of Idabel, Alma Faye Goodson and husband, Pat of Clyde, TX and Sue Chadwick of Idabel; sister- in- law Betty Shockley and husband Gayle of Idabel, OK; daughters-in-law, Linda Scott of Broken Bow and Vivivan Scott of St. Francis, LA; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; twenty-one great-great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; eleven step great-grandchildren; one step great-greatgrandchild; two grandchildren on the way; one great granddaughter born on June 21, 2022 was named Mia Louise Zuriti.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.
Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m., Saturday afternoon at Pine Top Missionary Baptist Church, Craig Rd Broken Bow, OK with Bro. Joseph Looney III and Bro. Mike Durham officiating. Interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Airport Rd Broken Bow, OK.
