Michael R George passed from this life Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the age of 62. He was born August 14, 1960 in Borger, TX the son of Raymond and Virginia (Meek) George.

Michael and Maria were united in marriage June 5, 1988 in Wynona, OK and shared thirty four plus years together.

Michael was affiliated with Pollard Landmark Missionary Baptist Church where he enjoyed being the groundskeeper. He occasionally led the Wednesday night devotions and often sang praises to the Lord. He worked for Jimmy Tucker Trucking for 18 years. He enjoyed riding horses, playing his guitar, hunting and most of all spending time with his family. He was also an avid Savage Football Fan. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Virginia George and son, Tony George; mother-in-law, Ramona Ramos Baucom; sister-in-law, Janie Balderas and brother-in-law, Ralph Meyer.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Maria of the home; Darenda George of  Moore, OK, MaKayla George of Broken Bow; sisters, Deborah Perigo (Milton), Sherri Meyer, Terri Karami (Ray) and Christina Pollard (Tim); two grandchildren, Darrien George and Savina George; several nieces, nephews, a dear friend, Steve Combs and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mays Hospice and the caregivers, Natalie and Shaylee.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2023 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services are set for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Brunson and Bro. Joshua Shephard officiating. Interment to follow Pollard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shane George, Garrett George, Darrien George, Troy Meyer, Brian Bruce, Ben Newton and Steve Combs. Honorary bearers, Eric Meyer, Kenny McBride and Joe McBride.
