Micheal Ken Miller was born in DeKalb, Texas, September 17, 1953 and departed this life, January 8, 2025 at St. Michael’s hospital in Texarkana, Texas. He lived at Hubbard, Texas, through his younger years. He started school as a first grader through the eight grade and then attended DeKalb High School. Shortly after high school, he and his best friend, Danny McIntire, would ride motorcycles, work hauling hay and worked at the DeKalb Dairy.
Ken was a Christian. He was baptized at Maranatha Church, DeKalb, Texas where he gave his life to Jesus and later changed his letter to Forest Hill Church, Forest Grove, Oklahoma.
Ken loved his family very much, and also loved horses, motorcycles and old classic cars. He was self-employed at a young age and became a professional painter and carpenter. He especially loved remodeling work.!
While he loved all these things in his younger days, they carried on after he met his wife, Sara Jane Cole Miller. They had the same love of owning horses, buying and selling vehicles, riding motorcycles and the love of helping animals in general. That was their life together.
Before his health started deteriorating, his other love was driving cars for James Hodge Ford-Dodge to many auctions, in different states.
Ken was preceded in death by: father, Norman James Miller; mother, Mary Frances Flanery Miller; brother, Harold Lynn Miller; brother, James Wesley Miller; and sister, Deborah Kay Miller.
He leaves to cherish his memory, Wife, Sara Jane Cole Miller of the home; Sister, Donna Miller, Idabel; Daughter, Ashley Ray Miller, Las Vegas, Nevada; Daughter, Lacey Jean Miller, Mississippi; Sister & Brother-in-Law, Sandra and Jim Ruffin, Holly Creek; Brother-in-laws, Bob Cole, Cape Coral, Florida and Rick Cole (wife Dina) Colorado Springs, Colorado; Devoted Step-Son, R.G. Decker and Devoted Daughter-in-law, April Decker, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Wonderful Grand-Children, Ashton Higgins, Jordan Mikael Miller, Jasmine Jamilla Miller, Jazmyne McGuire, Serra Jewel Miller, and Tristan Javion Miller; nieces and nephews, Sharon Whitecotten, Jessica Robnett, Chris Mitchell(wife Katherine); Michael Mitchell (wife Jina); Shane Miller, Jeremy Whitecotton. Also very special friends, Danny McIntire (wife Diane); his preacher, Russell McDaniel (wife Robin) Cole Bryant (wife Misty); Special Adopted Mom, Sue Crutchfield; Special family, Randall Sandovall, William Robert“Rambo” Cowley; Special Ford-Ddoge Family, Billy Manual (Best Buddies); Roger Ballard, Shane Canady, Alex Nix, Jason Bean, Katie Gentry, Mike Converse, Jeremy Wright, Eric Aguinaga, Connie McDonald, Carmelita Sanchez. And a host of friends and family.
A Celebration of Life Memorial is set for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Forest Hill Baptist Church, Forest Hill Community.
