Nancy Jean Jefferson, 63, of Battiest, OK passed from this life October 6, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born March 28, 1956 the daughter of Jacob and Mary Alice (Ebahotubbi) James.
Nancy was a member of the Bethel Hill Methodist Church. She and Harold Jefferson were united in marriage January 24, 2008 and shared eleven years before her passing.
She worked as a CNA for nineteen years and as a bus driver for Battiest School for eighteen years. She enjoyed shopping, sewing, making quilts, gardening, baking, traveling with her children, playing with her grandchildren, going to softball games and fishing. She loved reading her Bible and watching westerns shows. She was very friendly and outgoing and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Marsha Williams; brother, Bradley James; grandson, Zackery Johnson; nephew, Timothy James.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Harold Lee Jefferson of the home; her daughters, Kimberly Johnson and (Jack), Marcia Williams, Jennifer Williams, Chenoa Williams and Randi Williams all of Idabel, OK and Courtney Battiest (Devon) of Broken Bow, OK; step-sons, Brian Jefferson of Ft. Smith, AR and Kevin Jefferson of Battiest, OK; brothers, Abbie James Sr. of Broken Bow, OK, Gerald James of Ft. Worth, TX and Darrell James of Hugo, OK; two half-brothers, Charles Battiest and Bryan Battiest of Hugo, OK; sister, Margie Hernandez (Heriberto); half-sisters, Carla Mader (Chukuubueze) of Dallas, TX and Mary Ellen Battiest of Hugo, OK; step-sisters, Reda Jessie of Oakhill, Roberta Sam of Red Oak; eight grandchildren, Heartly, Ciarra, Adrianna, Mason, Addison, Kolton, Darrren and April; special nieces and nephew, Kinsley, Josh and Becky Williams; numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 11, 2019 at Battiest School Cafetorium, Battiest, OK Pastor Carrol officiating. Interment will follow at Hochatown Cemetery, Hochatown, OK.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday evening at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel.
