Neva Cockerham “Geneva June” passed away July 17, 2024 at Hill’s Nursing Home after a short illness. She was born April 21, 1937 at Shirley Crossing, west of Idabel, OK to Sellous Charlie “S.C.” and Homa Ellen (Kelley) Fields.
Neva was a member of the Eastern Star. She held many jobs including receptionist at the original site of McCurtain Memorial Hospital and retired from Clarksville Walmart where she was “checker of the month more than once” She enjoyed her time reading God’s word and spending time with her Church family. She dearly loved camping, fishing and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her twin, Zenobia Jane (Nobie) Fields Alford; brothers, Clifton Dale, Harold Glen, James Earl “Buck” Fields; parents, S.C. and Homie Fields; great-granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Willoughby.
Geneva is survived by her daughters, Kathy Willoughby and husband, Tom and their son, Tommy Jr. and Angela Willoughby, Kayla Smith and husband, Guy and their children, Steffani (Bobby) Salter and Jake (Tonya) Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Shorty McKeever; sister-in-law, Barbara Fields; a special friend, James “Butch” Brown; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services are set for 10 AM, Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK with Bro. Cole Bryan and Bro. Russell McDaniel officiating. Interment to follow at Aiken Grove Cemetery, Clarksville, TX.
