Noel Lynn Cathey, 75, of Broken Bow passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024. He was born April 7, 1949, in Jonesboro AR, the son of Floyd Noel and Lora Elizabeth (Armstrong) Cathey.

Noel attended Broken Bow First Baptist Church. He was a devout husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He worked as a farmer, rancher, logger, and oilfield laborer - as well as served in the Army National Guard as a young man.  He did a bit of everything as a “country guy,” including gardening, woodworking, and helping build dog houses for ARK.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Connie Dean (Youngblood) Cathey, and one brother James Ray Cathey.

Noel leaves to cherish his memory his children, Melissa Cathey-Hoffman (Cole) of Mechanicsburg PA and Brandon Cathey of Wright City OK; sisters, Carmen Rhyne and Loretta Wilson (Tommy) of Broken Bow OK; grandchildren, Ty Cathey of Broken Bow, Morgan Garner (Hunter) of Texarkana TX, and Landon Cathey of Broken Bow; great-grandchildren, Case and Wesley Garner of Texarkana TX.  A host of other relatives enriched his years, and he was blessed with friends Jerry Bunch, the Camp brothers, and very special friend Mrs. Tommie Newman. 

Visitation will be held from 2-4 P.M., Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow OK.

Memorial Services are set for 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 7, 2024, at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Valley Cemetery, Bellah Mine Rd, Gillham AR.
