Opal (Lawrence) Smith

Opal Smith age 89, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed from this life to her heavenly home on Monday, October 30, 2018, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma surrounded by family. Opal was born on December 28, 1928, in Octavia, Oklahoma the daughter of Manassie Lawrence and Ethel Linville Lawrence. Opal was a homemaker and loved walks in the park, bowling with her friends, visiting and having coffee with her sisters and friends. She was a dedicated, loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She loved and cherished her time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Opal’s memory will be forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Opal is preceded in death by her husbands; Hence Stinson and Vernon Smith, children; Roger Stinson, Dennis Stinson, Martin Stinson and, Phoebe Stinson, father; Manassie Lawrence, mother; Ethel, brother; R.B. Lawrence, sisters; Ruby Lawrence and Estelle Hensley, and granddaughter Rhonda Bates.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her children; Joyce McDaniel and husband, Archie of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Evelyn Hackney and husband, Phillip of Cherry Hill, Arkansas, Audrey Stinson of Oden, Arkansas, Kevin Stinson of Mena, Arkansas, brothers; J.D. Lawrence, Jerry Lawrence, and Curtis Lawrence of Oregon, sisters; Bert Stiles of Arkansas and Shirley Callahan of Oregon, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will held Thursday, November 1, 2018, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018; at 2:00 P.M. at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma with the Bro. Greg Parnell officiating.

Interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hatfield Arkansas.
