Ossie Wilson, age 88, of Broken Bow, passed from this life on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 1, 1933, in Eagletown, the daughter of Idis Ramsey Sr. and Alberta (Bizzell) Ramsey.
Ossie was united in marriage to Melvin Wilson on November 22, 1953. They shared sixty-seven wonderful years together before his passing. Ossie was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, especially for Pastors of the church. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, and fishing. In her free time, she could be found watching Judge Judy, or listening to gospel music and Bishop Patterson on Sundays. She loved her pets, Pug & CoCo. One of her greatest joys was playing with her great grandchild, Riggles, and great-granddaughter, Doll. Ossie will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; her parents, Idis and Alberta Ramsey; daughter, Pamela Abrams; eight brothers; five sisters; and son-in-law, Dale Dunigan. Ossie is the last of her siblings.
Ossie leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Earlene Dunigan, Virgie Cooper (Alonzo), Georgia Wilson, Lisa Richards (Artis), and Elonda Whitmore (Stephen); sons, Melvin Wilson Jr (Cathy), Darren Wilson, and Terry Wilson; stepsister, Willie Mae Sealls; son-in-law, Jeffrey Abrams; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Bunch Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Patrick Grant officiating. Interment will follow at Lukfata Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. The family requests that all in attendance wear masks.
