Randal Dewayne Hicks Obituary

Randal DeWayne Hicks completed his earthly journey Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the age of 84. He was born in Bethel, OK April 30, 1940, the son of Raphael Wilson Hicks and Caroline (Jefferson) Hicks.


Dewayne proudly served his country in the US Air Force until 1982.


He was employed as an electrician with Weyerhaeuser in Wright City and at the paper mill in Valliant until 2010. He was known as the “Godfather” of the Wellness Center. He worked out there six days a week from the time the center opened. He enjoyed Choctaw Nation District 2 Chair Volleyball and 5K runs.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Raphael and Caroline Hicks; brother, Ray “Doc” Hicks; sisters, Betty Lou Hicks and Carol Williams; nephews, Gilbert Waldon and Dennis Waldon; nieces, Kathy Hicks and Towanda Florie.


Dewayne leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Sue Hicks of the home; his daughters, Charolette Cox, Tina Rideout and husband, Wayne, Cynthia Young and husband Erik; son, Randal Hicks, Jr. and Mike Turner; grandchildren, Catrina Cook, Zackary Cox, Shaun Hicks, Donald Rideout, Brandon Rideout, Kayedence Young and E.J. Young; great-grandchildren, Aurora Hicks, Ashlyn Hicks, Andrew Hicks and Henley Rideout; a host of beloved nieces and nephews and a host of friends.


Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Monday, July 15, 2024 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.


Funeral Services are set for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Randon Gibson and Andy Ward officiating. A private burial will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Tuskahoma Veterans Cemetery.
