Rickey Lynn Boone, a cherished brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on May 9, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on November 20, 1959, in DeQueen, Arkansas to Walter “Buddy” and Delois Boone.
He was a graduate of Eagletown High School, Rickey was known for his friendly demeanor and loving nature. His laughter and kind spirit were a beacon of light in the community, creating memories that will be treasured by his family and friends. Rickey's love for the great outdoors was evident to anyone who spent time with him. He found solace and joy in nature, whether he was riding his four-wheeler through the countryside, waiting patiently by the water for a fish to bite, or exploring the woods during hunting season, as he never missed an opportunity to visit with neighbors and friends.
Rickey was a member of the Kiamichi Independent Bikers; he embraced the freedom of the open road and running with his fellow bikers. His adventurous spirit was matched by his love for swimming and the simple pleasure of a trip to Wal-Mart. No matter the activity, Rickey's presence made every moment more enjoyable for those around him.
Rickey was preceded in death by his loving parents, Walter “Buddy” and Delois Boone; brothers, Ray and Frankie Boone; a very special aunt, Mamie Ross.
He leaves to cherish his memory, sister, Mamie Boone of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, niece Brittany Stockton, also of Broken Bow, and nephews, Chris Goodman and his wife Rebecca of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Douglas Carvan and his wife Melissa of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Rickey's role as a great-uncle to Kendalyn and Kolt Carvan, Abigail, Noah, Madelynn, Cooper, Lexie Goodman of Tulsa, and Weston Stockton of Broken Bow brought him immense happiness and was, without a doubt, the greatest joy of his life.
Rickey's life reminds us of the importance of family, friendship, and the joy of living each day to the fullest. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and the enduring bonds of family. One thing for sure, he loved his nieces and nephews. And he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
