Robert Leon Fewell

Broken Bow resident, Robert Fewell, 79, entered his heavenly home on November 23, 2020.

The son of Rollo and Pauline (Cooksey) Fewell, Robert was born on May 22, 1941 in Beggs, Oklahoma. After graduating from Beggs High School in 1959, Robert began working in the oil fields. On the 30th day of September 1961, Robert married June Bolton in Beggs, OK. He worked as an Ambulance Driver for Okmulgee EMS, H.B. Zackry as an Iron Worker in Houston, TX, a Mobile Equipment  Operator for Peabody Coal Co. in Chelsea, OK, as a Front End Operator for Quapaw Co. in Drumwright, OK, a Truck Driver for the County of Okmulgee, OK, a Stockman for McDonell Douglas Corp. in Tulsa, OK, a Procurement Expediter and Parts Sales Expediter for McDonald-Douglas until retiring in 1997. Moving to Texas, he began another career in the construction industry. Finally, in 2003, his family convinced him to retire for good and move to Broken Bow. He enjoyed any kind of fishing, hunting, playing guitar and working on projects with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Eugene Fewell.

Robert leaves to continue his legacy, his wife June, of the home; one daughter, Stacy Bailey and her husband, Mike, of Broken Bow; two grandchildren, Mitchell Bailey of Broken Bow, Shaye Kirkpatrick and her husband, Kyle, of Jenks, OK; one great granddaughter, Ella Joy Kirkpatrick and one great grandson on the way, Kace Bailey Kirkpatrick; brothers-in-law, Dennis Bolton and his wife, Pat, of Granbury, TX, Paul Bolton of Granbury, TX; nieces and nephews, Paige, Michael, Shane, Shawn, Brenda and Doug; many other family members and friends.

A memorial service to honor the life of Robert will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 30, 2020 at the Bunch Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Jeter officiating.
