Ronnie Douglas Young

Ronnie Douglas Young of Broken Bow, OK passed from this life Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the age of 62.

He was born February 13, 1960 to father Jim Turner, Mother Lillie Mae (Hill) Young in Broken Bow, OK.

Ronnie was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved sports and was a diehard OU Sooner, Dallas Cowboys and Broken Bow Savage fan. He was an avid deer hunter, sociable, very humorous, and loved to make people laugh. He was a strong willed and giving man and loved in the community. Ronnie dedicated his life to the Lord at a young age. He served forty years as a deacon, superintendent, and Sunday school teacher in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He was a faithful member of the Southeastern District Brotherhood. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Turner, his mother Lillie Mae (Hill) Young; brothers, Sam Young Jr., Anthony Young Sr.; sisters, Sandra Greenlee, Rita Young, Sheila Young.

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory his son, Rashad Young of Houston, TX; daughter, Krystal Blount and Byron of Riverdale, GA; brothers, Rickey Young Sr. of Broken Bow, Mikeyla Young of Broken Bow; sister, Denise Cherry and husband, Harold of Baton Rouge, LA, Eyvonne Garrett and David of Broken Bow, OK, Cherri Hammond of Oklahoma City, OK, Cynthia King and Dewayne of Broken Bow, OK, Justinene and Steve Ross of Nashville, AR; grandchildren, Shmyra Young, Kashton Young, Daedrian Blount, Kyelyn Blount; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation Service was held Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 6:00- 8:00p.m. Bunch Singleton Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. First Assembly of God Church, Broken Bow, OK with Pastor Grandville Jett officiationg.
