Roy Dal Chandler Obituary

Roy Dal Chandler, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in Idabel, Oklahoma. Born on October 28, 1952, in Tacoma, Washington, to Tippy and Bobbie Jo (Joiner) Chandler.

The strength of his family bonds continued to be evident as he crafted a life alongside his beloved wife, Carolyn, whom he married on April 12, 1974, in Idabel, Oklahoma. Together, they built a warm and welcoming home, filled with love and laughter.

After serving in the U.S. Army, Roy embarked on a career as a truck driver, where he was known for his reliability and dedication. Whether he was navigating the local roads or steering across the country, Roy found freedom and peace behind the wheel. Roy's love for the outdoors was well known among his friends and family. An avid fisherman, hunter, and camper. He also had a special place in his heart for family birthday celebrations, where he loved to share stories and laughter.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, as well as his brothers, Bobby Lee Chandler and William Thomas "Dooley" Chandler.
