Samuel Argie Pierce, 67, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on May 2, 2025. He was born February 5, 1958, in Prescott, Arizona, to Jack Pierce and Mary-Zane Olsen.
Sam was preceded in death by his father, Jack Pierce; mother, Mary-Zane Olsen; his stepfather, Delbert Olsen; brothers, Steve Pierce, Mike Pierce, and Johnny Pierce; his beloved wife, Natalie Pierce.
He is survived by his brothers, Darryl Pierce and Ethan Pierce, his children, Amber and Ty Skelton; Amanda Pierce and David Axtell, Jeremy Pierce and Angelle Boone; his treasured grandchildren, Abigale Skelton, Juniper Pierce-Axtell, Phoenix Skelton, Ezekiel Pierce-Axtell, Leonidas Skelton, Acacia Pierce-Axtell, Dante Skelton, and Elijah Pierce.
Sam moved to Broken Bow in 1993 with his family, including his daughter Amber, his mother Mary-Zane, and his wife Natalie, and their beloved pets, Shadow Cat and Sugarbird. Together, they came to Broken Bow with a dream and a prayer, and they built a life full of love and achievement.
Sam was the town barber, a true pillar of the Broken Bow community. His barber shop was a place where generations of families came for haircuts. He gave many first and last haircuts, serving both friends and family alike. His steady hands and warm heart left a mark on the community, and he became a beloved figure who helped shape the memories of countless locals. Through his work, Sam fostered relationships and created lasting bonds making him a cherished and integral part of Broken Bow life.
Sam’s legacy is one of devotion to his family and faith. He was a man who embodied what it means to be a father, husband, and friend. His wisdom, guidance and strength of character touched all who knew him. Sam’s words and teachings will live on in the hearts of his family for generations. He was a man who led with love and faith, and in the final years of his life, he faithfully testified of God’s grace and goodness to anyone who would listen.
Sam’s faith in God brought him peace, and we take comfort in knowing that he is resting in eternal peace. His family looks forward to the day they will see him again in heaven.
A viewing will be held at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 6-8 P.M., Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 10:00 A.M., at Faith Christian Center.
