Silas Dwight Tims

Silas Dwight Tims, 80, passed from this life on November 7, 2023 in Idabel, OK. He was born July 13, 1943 to Victor and Ida (Morris) Tims.

Silas was a member of the Hampton Chapel United Methodist Church in Spencerville, OK. He was a mechanic, loved playing the piano, drawing art, fishing, hunting, playing softball, watching his grandchildren play ball. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Tims; parents, Victor and Ida Tims; grandson, Jarrod Allen; great-grandson, Hunter Silas Tims; niece, Katie Baker; siters, Rebecca Samuels, Lena Battiest and Ethel Tims.

Silas is survived by his children, Israel Tims of Ft. Towson, OK; Carol Compton and husband Chuck of Broken Bow, OK; Galen Tims and wife Donna of Eagletown, OK; Priscilla Harris and husband Wayne of Valliant, OK; Arnold Tims and wife Kim of Ft. Towson, OK; Victoria Leach and husband B.J. of Bartlesville, OK;  Jerry Tims and wife Candy of Edmond, OK; Stacy Stricklin and husband Phillip of Broken Bow, OK; brother, Rev. Lester Tims of Stonewall, OK; sister-in-law, Louise Roberts of Dallas, TX; twenty grandchildren and twenty-eight great- grandchildren; special friend, Ronald Lewis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 6-8 P.M. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services are set for Friday, November 10, 2023 at 10 A.M. at Hampton Chapel Methodist Church in Spencerville, OK with Elder Ronald Lewis and Rev. Lester Tims officiating. Burial to follow at Hampton Chapel Cemetery.
