Stacy Melinda Hanks

Stacy Melinda Hanks passed from this life June 18, 2020 in McAlester, OK at the age of 61.

She was born August 19, 1958 in El Centro, CA, the daughter of Marvin and Norma Christine (Gibbs) Axler.

She and George Hanks were united in marriage December 24, 1980 in Arizona and shared thirty-nine years together until her passing.

Stacy was a graduate of Brawley High School. She moved to McCurtain County in 1982 to start a ranch with her family. She enjoyed dealing in antiques and crafting. She was an excellent cook and ranch hand, raising dogs, pigs and raccoons. She loved all animals.

Stacy leaves to cherish her memory her husband, George Hanks of the home; parents, Marvin and Norma Axler of Broken Bow; her children, Travis Hanks and wife, Crystal of Wilburton, OK, Luke Hanks and wife, Ashlei of Broken Bow; sister, Karen Edmondson and husband, Tony of Brawley, CA; three grandchildren, Rylan, Brycen and Avalei; special friends, Gladysann Benson and Tommy and Brenda Stickles; a host of family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening, June 20, 2020 at the Hanks Family Cemetery, Bait Shop Rd. Broken Bow, OK
