Stephen Haley, 61, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 27, 2025, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Born on October 7, 1963, in Paris, Texas, the son of J.W. Haley and Dorothy Boyd.
Stephen spent his working years as a logger and welder. He approached his work with a determination that was admired by all who knew him, always ready to lend a hand or share his expertise.
His love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He was a very caring man who always put others before himself. His interests were simple yet profound, as he found joy in the beauty of the natural world. Hunting, fishing, and riding around in the hills of McCurtain County. Stephen loved living in the Holly Creek area around Broken Bow, where the landscapes were as generous and open as his heart.
Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Boyd and JW Haley; son, Steven Haley; brothers, Billy James Haley and Ricky Haley.
His legacy continues through his beloved wife of 26 years, Frances Darlene Haley, whom he married on June 22, 1999, in Idabel, Oklahoma. Stephen's life was enriched by his children, Amanda Haley, Alman Martin, Austin and Sarah Martin, Crystal Canant and husband Ryan, Brittany Carpenter and husband Greg, and Nathan Haley; grandchildren, Brooklyn Winters, Reannon Winters, Jaxyn Mitchell, Anna Bella Holt, Marie Canant, Krispyn Martin, Karsyn Haley, Gracie Martin, Reo Carpenter, Akria Carpenter; great-grandchildren, Elston, Evelyn, and O'Rion; sisters, Cindy Johnson and Corey Haley.
Visitation will be held 10 A.M. – 2 P.M., Saturday, July 5, 2025, Bunch-Singelton Funeral Home Chapel.
Memorial Services are set for 4:00 P.M., Saturday, July 5, 2025, Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Crystal Canant officiating.
