Steve Deither Obituary

Steve Deither, born on May 1, 1958, in Torrance, California, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.


Steve was a proud graduate of Broken Bow High School, where he demonstrated his team spirit and athleticism as a member of the Broken Bow Savages football team. After high school, he answered the call to serve his nation and joined the US Army, where he was stationed in Germany. His service to his country was a period of life he reflected upon with pride and honor. Upon returning to civilian life, Steve found joy in the simple pleasures. He enjoyed fishing, his competitive spirit shone brightly in the bowling alley. Steve also had a deep love for classic cars, with his prized possession being a beautifully maintained '66 Mustang.


He is preceded in death by his parents, James Deither, Sr., and Virginia (Stevens) Deither; his siblings, Jim, Darla, and Danny Deither; niece, Kyla Brown and sister-in-law, Leslie Deither.


Steve is survived by his nieces and nephews, Danielle and David Gantt, Jamie and Michael Gills, and Jeremy and JuLinda Deither, Daniel and Shyanna Deither; sister-in-law, Carmella Deither, and brother-in-law, Jim Brown, along with numerous other family members and friends.


Memorial Services are set for 2:00 PM, Monday August 11, 2025 at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK.
