T. L. Swift Obituary

It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of their beloved daddy and papa, T. L. Swift who passed on December 21, 2025 at the age of 89. He was born on September 23, 1936 in the Oak Hill Community.

T. L.  proudly served his country in the U.S.  Navy. He was affiliated with the Broken Bow First Assembly of God Church. He was a family man at heart. He treasured the time spent with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that they will hold dear for a lifetime. Each family member was special to him, as evidenced by the unique nicknames he lovingly bestowed upon them. His presence at play days and rodeos, supporting his family and friends, was a testament to his enduring spirit of community and camaraderie. He enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. His love for music was equally profound. T. L. enjoyed playing and singing along with his wife Loyce and friends at the Eagletown Center and Lazy E Music Venue. He loved sharing his musical talent; teaching others how to play the guitar and inspiring the next generation with his passion and skills.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ewell and Letha (Storey) Swift; his loving wife, Loyce (Goss) Swift; his brothers, Gerald Wayne Swift and Donnie Swift; his sister, Peggy Herring; his great-granddaughter, Hallie Blaire Hopson; and his daughter-in-law, Theresa Swift.

L. is survived by his children, Rhonda Lee and her husband Butch of Pittsburg, TX, Terry Swift of DeQueen, AR, Pam Swift, and Amy Swift Ashalintubbi, both of Broken Bow; his adoring grandchildren, Kelly (Osterdock) Dalton, Charlie Gregg Osterdock II, Shelly and Teddy Palmer, Scotty and Kayla Swift, Brandon and Megan McCune, Samantha and Colby O’Neal, Karli Gentry and Dillon, Tyler and Kensley Hopson, Andrew and Haley Janes.  He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Carol Swift, Violet Swift and Diane Maurer, and brothers-in-law, Fairland Herring, Stanley and Travis Goss, his aunt, Wanda Seals along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relatives, and a multitude of dear friends.
